About Van Bulkheads

Bulkheads are secure, tight fitting partitions, which are constructed to fit rigidly against the inside of a van. It is normally made from steel so id very strong, and is located behind the driver seats to separate them from the cargo area.

The function of a bulkhead is to keep the driver and passengers safe from potentially heavy tools and equipment located in the cargo area. Any contents moving in the rear of the van could be dangerous, but with a bulkhead installed, it is kept in place and separate from the front of the vehicle. Shifting contents in a van can cause accidents, so is vital they are installed for all commercial vans.
